Minishha Lamba started her career as a girl next door in ‘Yahaan’. After doing such roles for a while ( she got some appreciation for playing the cute girl in ‘Bachna Aae Haseeno’ and ‘Shaurya’ last year), she tried desperately to turn sexy with ‘Kidnap’.

She donned bikinis and low-necks in ‘Kidnap’ and also did a sexy magazine shoot.

But this babe doesn’t have the attitude or the body to carry off a look like that.

So she’s back to doing what she’s probably best suited for- playing the simple girl again.

She’s set to play a village belle in Shyam Benegal’s next comedy.

The veteran director is trying out comedy again after his successful ‘Welcome To Sajjanpur’ and perhaps Minissha is impressed by how good he made Amrita Rao look and act in the movie.

So she’s set to turn village belle for another one of Shyam Babu’s rural themes. Reportedly the actress has confirmed that she is doing a film with Benegal and it will go on floors next month.

Apart from this Shyam Benegal has other projects like ‘Chamki Chameli’ and a venture on Gautam Buddha and he wants to finish off this project sooner.

It’s a satirical comedy and is tentatively named ‘Abba Ka Kaun’. It’s been reported that Boman Irani has been signed on to play a double role.

Looks like her controversial nose job and meddling with cricketer Yuvraj Singh in public places and some supposed steady boyfriend of hers isn’t enough to give her the required publicity.

So she’s wisely concentrating on doing some good work. Who knows, that might just fetch her the stardom she’s looking for?
