Minissha Lamba plans to hold her mother’s painting exhibition

Minissha Lamba’s mother, Manju is an interior designer by profession. Howeve, for the last two years, she has started painting. The actress’ Versova apartment has over 25 canvases. A lot of family friends and visitors to the house have shown interest in purchasing her work.

After persistent requests from Minissha, her mother has finally agreed to hold an exhibition later this year. Minissha reveals that her mom has been painting for over two years, “Our entire house is packed with her work. A lot of my friends have asked her to hold an exhibition, but she doesn’t take them seriously. Recently, a man landed up at our doorstep expressing interest in one of mom’s painting titled Glorious Elements. Later, he revealed that he had seen the painting on a friend’s camera phone and he got the address from him and wanted to buy the painting.”

After the incident, Minissha has convinced her mom to hold an exhibition. “I think she needs to showcase her work. We are working on the formalities and plan to hold the exhibition sometime soon. I like the fact that people across all age groups love her work. My friends have labelled her work psychedelic.”

When asked if her mom has passed on any of her brush skills to her, Minissha groans, “None! I can’t draw a straight line. I can only act, painting is not my cup of tea.”
