Minissha Lamba signs on for Sagar Ballary’s next
After attempting romantic dramas (Bachna Aye Haseeno) and thrillers (Kidnap), Minissha Lamba has signed on her first comedy film.
Directed by Sagar Ballary (Bheja Fry), the film also stars Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade.
She gushes, “I was dying to do an all-out comedy and Sagar is the best director to work with. I am a huge fan of Bheja Fry and was looking forward to his next. Now I actually get a chance to work with him!”

Titled Hum Tum Aur Shabana, the film has Minissha in the title role of Shabana, “Tusshar and Shreyas are the Hum and Tum. I haven’t worked with either Tusshar or Shreyas, so it’s going to be fun to work with them. I think both of them have an amazing comic timing, so there will be lots to learn.”
Even though she was getting loads of scripts with comedy, Minissha wanted to wait till the right one came along. ‘I wanted to make sure the script and the role was right. And Sagar’s film has the perfect character I can identify with.” The film goes on floors this month in Goa.
