Not many actors are willing to work with a filmmaker whose first directorial venture had proven to be a washout. However, Minissha Lamba, Rahul Bose, Javed Jaffrey and Kay Kay Menon didn’t even bat an eyelid before giving their consent to Samar Khan who had started his career with ill-fated KUCH MEETHA HO JAAYE.

“Frankly speaking, I hadn’t even seen KUCH MEETHA HO JAAYE before I met Samar. In fact I didn’t even know him either professionally or personally.

I came in touch with him when he was casting for the film and it was a great feeling to meet a man who came with such coherent ideas”, reveals Minissha.

“His thoughts are so solid and he is so sure about what he wants to make”, says Minissha who plays an investigative journalist in SHAURYA, “I heard him talk about the film and my instinct was that I had to do this film. I went by my gut feeling and going by the feelers, I guess the film has pretty much worked not just for me but everyone associated with it. I am happy that I didn’t apply too much thinking before giving my consent to be a part of SHAURYA.”
