Dimpled cheeks, rosy lips, with a captivating smile to add… But Minissha Lamba’s good looks were sure no criteria for her to have stepped into Bollywood.
Instead, “movies happened just by fluke” for this porcelain beauty, whose heart was actually set on pursuing journalism, post English Honours from DU. “I was doing modelling as a hobby, when director Shoojit Sircar picked me for Yahaan.” And then there was no looking back for Lamba.
But what has this charming beauty all excited these days is her role of an ambitious investigative journalist in the forthcoming Shaurya. “Finally, I’m getting to play what I wanted to be in reality,” she laughs, “My character Kavya Shastri is so much like how I would have been, had I become a journalist.” What makes it better is Minissha’s pairing with Rahul Bose in the movie, whom she finds “extremely charming and witty. Unwilling to divulge much about the movie, Minissha says, “The film is not inspired or a remake of the 70’s Rocky. I wouldn’t like to divulge much about the film as that is for you guys to watch out. This time she will be seen with actor Rahul Bose in the movie Shaurya that’s based on an army officer’s life. Now, this movie seems to be somewhat similar to Minissha’s debut movie Yahaan, where she was romancing another armyman played by Jimmy Sheirgill.
