Minissha Lamba is ready to dare, bare and flaunt! The angel-faced actress has shed off her good girl image and gone in for a much feisty, bold and ultra glam makeover as she flaunts her hip toned body in a flimsy white bikini in new film ‘Kidnap’.

Yes, the bare it all trend is at its peak in Bollywood and Minissha is the latest victim of the style bug. But unlike other actresses, who decide to stay hush hush about their gusty bare acts, Minissha is getting pretty much vocal about her skin show in Sanjay Gadhvi’s ‘Kidnap’. Minissha shows star quality

An afternoon of media grilling in back-to-back interviews for the promotion of Yash Raj Films’s Bachna Ae Haseeno failed to wear out Minissha Lamba.

“Bring it on,” she challenged, in a telephone interview, when I joked about having questions that were spread across two pages.

But that’s Lamba for you – tons of unrestrained energy with an incorrigible sense of humour and smarts. Continue reading ‘Minissha shows star quality’

“I’m my biggest critic. Whenever I go out with my friends to watch my film, I keep looking for flaws. I look critically the way I look in the film or the way I act,” said Minissha.

She added: “My friends keep telling me to shut up and stop criticising myself. But I never stop. They are so sweet that they tell me to just watch my films and enjoy them.”

Minissha is frank!

She has a big banner film in the theatres and is busy with promos and TV appearances. In the film, Minissha plays a 17-year-old girl who believes in fairytale romances and true love. “She’s grown up watching DDLJ and looks for the kind of love Simran and Raj share in the movie,” she says.

Is the actress a romantic in real life? “Everyone likes to be swept off their feet and find perfect love. There are lots of other things that influence a relationship, but true love is the basis,” she says. Prod her about her love life and she says, “I’m single at the moment.” She adds that if someone special does come into her life she wouldn’t bother hiding it. “It’s childish to hide your love,” she says. Minissha Lamba says she’s looking for a lover boy so she can fall in love, get married and have kids. Rein in your imagination — she’s talking about her character Mahi, in the forthcoming release Bachna Ae Haseeno.

“I play a young girl from Amritsar and her wishes are very innocent. All she wants is to find the love of her life,” says Minissha. There’s a bit of Mahi in all of us, she feels.

“We all are looking for our partner, consciously or unconsciously, to have a fulfilling relationship,” she continues. Is she yearning for it, too? “I think life would be incomplete if you don’t experience it,” Minissha replies, blushing. Continue reading ‘Being sweet and cute suits me best: Minissha Lamba’

The moment Minissha Lamba was launched in Yahaan , stories of her bearing an uncanny resemblance to our pretty woman Preity Zinta started doing the rounds. Few blamed the pretty lass’ Zinta-esque beauty the reason for their comparison while some thought it is their Himachal connection that made them look similar.

While Preity belongs to an army family residing in Shimla, Minissha’s family too is based in Srinagar and the young actor has even lived in Kashmir for two years. Both actresses are well educated. Where Preity has graduated in psychology, Minissha has a degree in English honours! Continue reading ‘Minissha’s the new Preity!’

After doing a lot of small yet noticeable work in her films, she’s ready to shine in Yash Raj’s latest. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Minissha talked all things filmi.
