Minissha Lamba plans to hold her mother’s painting exhibition

Minissha Lamba’s mother, Manju is an interior designer by profession. Howeve, for the last two years, she has started painting. The actress’ Versova apartment has over 25 canvases. A lot of family friends and visitors to the house have shown interest in purchasing her work.

After persistent requests from Minissha, her mother has finally agreed to hold an exhibition later this year. Minissha reveals that her mom has been painting for over two years, “Our entire house is packed with her work. A lot of my friends have asked her to hold an exhibition, but she doesn’t take them seriously. Recently, a man landed up at our doorstep expressing interest in one of mom’s painting titled Glorious Elements. Everyone has a right to wear what one likes, says Minissha Lamba

Ludhiana Blender’s Pride Magical Nite Tour brought to the town a galaxy of stars which included petite and beautiful actress Minissha Lamba besides well-known designers like Vikram Phadnis and Mandira Wirk.

In town, to promote the tour, the stars shared their opinions with LNL.

Minissha Lamba: The Dili kee Kudi who loves her Punjabi roots wowed the audience with the ethereal beauty in Yahaan. In this film, Minissha played a Kashmiri girl and backed by the success of this film the beauty, who has a major in English Honours from Miranada House, was seen in films like Corporate, Anthony Kaun Hai, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Heyy Babyy (special appearance), Dus Kahaniyaan, Anamika, and Shaurya. No diction workshops for Minissha

Unilke most actors, who take to pre-shoot workshops to get into the skin of their character, Minissha Lamba is one person who believes in getting it right the first time itself. So, when it came to delivering her dialogues in the Dakhni dialect for Shyam Benegal’s Well Done Abba, the petite actress did not undergo any workshops. In fact, all the dialogues, sprinkled with the local Hyderabadi dialect, were presented to her in the script beforehand.

Talking about her state of mind, Minissha says, “I was petrified about getting the dialect right until about one day before the shoot. But once we started shooting at Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad, things progressed quite smoothly. Mumbai: She might have flaunted a bikini and turned heads in Kidnap but actor Minissha Lamba is not ready to do the same thing soon. Now, she has geared up to play a village girl in a completely deglamorous role in Shyam Benegal’s next Well Done Abba — a political satire on the lines of Welcome to Sajjanpur.

Talking about the movie that’s set in south India, Minissha says, “It’s a tongue-and-cheek take on the political system and the setting is merely incidental as the film is not about south Indian politics.”
